What does a Triways wedding include?
The ceremony and the celebration, planned around the setting: on the Nile, in the desert, with the Pyramids in view or by the Red Sea. The venue, permissions, dinner, music, flowers, photography and the guests' travel are arranged by one team, with one coordinator on the day.
We plan weddings and vow renewals. We do not arrange the legal marriage itself, which most couples complete at home before or after.

What We Arrange
Everything between the couple’s idea and the last guest home, except the paperwork of the marriage itself.
The setting
Sourcing the place, the permissions it needs for the date, and the layout on the day: a deck on the Nile, a terrace facing the Pyramids, a camp in the desert or a beach on the Red Sea.
The ceremony
A wedding or a vow renewal as the couple imagine it, with the order of the ceremony, the music and the moment itself planned around the light and the place.
The celebration
Dinner, flowers, lighting, music and photography, and the evening after the vows. Local touches, from Nubian music in Aswan to a Bedouin supper in the desert, where they suit the couple.
The guests
Hotels, transfers, private guides and a programme for the days around the wedding, so the guests see Egypt too. One coordinator runs the day, and the same team supports everyone around the clock.
Wedding Settings in Egypt
Each setting changes the wedding: its size, its hour, and what the guests remember.
-
The Nile
On the River
A dahabiya taken for the party alone, or, for a larger wedding, one of our five Nile ships chartered whole, with the ceremony on deck as the boat moors below the West Bank or among the islands of Aswan. For something smaller, vows on a felucca at sunset. Yacht & Nile charters sets out the vessels.
-
Giza
Near the Pyramids
A terrace or a desert setting with the Pyramids in view, for a ceremony at golden hour and dinner as the lights come up on the plateau.
-
The desert
A Private Desert Camp
A camp set up for the wedding alone, with lanterns, carpets and a sky full of stars, or the quiet of an eco-lodge in the Siwa Oasis for a smaller, simpler celebration.
-
Hotels
Palace Hotels & Nile Gardens
-
The coast
The Red Sea
A beach at El Gouna, Soma Bay or Sharm El Sheikh, or a ceremony aboard a private yacht, with the party staying on the coast for the days after. See Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh.
-
Privacy
A Private Villa
A villa in Cairo, El Gouna, on the Red Sea or at El Alamein, where the wedding party can stay together and celebrate at home. See Private villas.
-
Heritage
Beside the Monuments
A celebration at or beside a historic site, such as a dinner before the temples of Abu Simbel. It needs approval from the authorities for the specific date, which is never automatic: we request it with the dates, and the proposal says what is confirmed.
Legal & Practical Basics
We say plainly what we arrange, and what the couple arranges elsewhere.
The legal marriage
Triways plans the ceremony and the celebration, not the legal marriage. Most couples complete the legal formalities at home, before or after, and celebrate in Egypt. If a couple wants to marry legally in Egypt, the requirements depend on their nationality and circumstances, and their own embassy or consulate is the place to ask first.
Permissions
Some settings need permission for the date, especially historic sites and public places. We request it early and never promise a setting before it is confirmed.
Timing
March to May and September to December are the most comfortable months for an outdoor wedding in the Nile Valley. Summer suits the coasts. We check the date against the religious calendar and local holidays.
Guests
Most guests obtain an Egyptian visa on arrival at the airport or online before they travel; each should check the rules for their passport.
Combining a Wedding With a Honeymoon
The guests go home. The couple stays on.
Many couples follow the wedding with a honeymoon in Egypt: a dahabiya for two on the Nile, a few days on the Red Sea, or both. Planned together, the move from one to the other is seamless, and the couple deals with one team throughout. Honeymoon journeys and the Nile show the options.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can foreign nationals legally marry in Egypt, or is this a symbolic ceremony?
Triways plans the ceremony and the celebration, not the legal marriage. Most couples complete the legal formalities at home, before or after, and celebrate in Egypt. If a couple wants to marry legally in Egypt, the requirements depend on their nationality and circumstances, and their embassy or consulate is the place to ask.
Can a wedding take place inside a temple or historic site?
A celebration at or beside a historic site needs approval from the authorities for the specific date, and approval is never automatic. We request it with the dates, and the proposal says what is confirmed. Settings with the monuments in view, such as a terrace facing the Pyramids, are simpler to secure.
Do you arrange vow renewals as well as weddings?
Yes. A vow renewal is planned in the same way, often as a smaller, more private ceremony on the Nile, in the desert or by the sea.
When is the best time of year for a wedding in Egypt?
March to May and September to December are the most comfortable months for an outdoor wedding in the Nile Valley. Summer is very hot there, but suits the Red Sea and Mediterranean coasts.
Tell us about the couple, and the day they imagine.
Share the setting, the season and the number of guests. We will come back with how the day could look.
