The NileNamed vessels, matched to the client

Which Nile cruise vessels does Triways work with?

Triways arranges access across five named Nile cruise ships: Esmeralda, Alma Nile Cruise, Chateau Lafayette Nile Cruise, Nile Treasure Nile Cruise and Alyssa Nile Cruise. Dahabiyas are arranged for smaller parties.

The vessel is matched to the occasion and the client, then coordinated with the transfers, the guides and the rest of the journey.

What this page covers

Access and Coordination, Not the Itinerary

A Nile cruise is only as good as the vessel it is on, and the day it joins.

This page is about the operational side of the river: which vessels Triways can place a client on, how one is chosen for a brief, and how the sailing is fitted to everything around it. The journey itself, with its route, its temples and its days on the water, is described at Luxury Nile Cruise.

Access to named vessels

Five named ships, each photographed below, not a generic “five-star cruise”. When a proposal goes out, it names the vessel. For a smaller party a dahabiya is arranged instead, and named in the same way.

Coordinated with the rest

Embarkation is timed to the flight or the drive that brings the client to the river, and disembarkation to what follows. Private Transportation and Meet & Assist carry the client to the landing; Guides & Experts lead the temples along the way.

Held while it sails

Support runs 24/7 while the client is in Egypt, on the river as on land. If a flight is late or a plan changes, the embarkation and the transfers are re-timed with it.

Named, not “a five-star cruise”

The Named Vessels

Five multi-deck Nile cruise ships, each shown as it is. The name on the proposal is the name in the photograph.

Matched to the brief

How Vessel Selection Works

Four questions in the brief decide the vessel. The proposal answers them, and names the ship or dahabiya that fits. For the wider choice between ways of sailing, see Choosing the right way down the Nile.

  1. When, and which way?

Dates & directionShips sail between Luxor and Aswan in both directions. The client’s dates and the way they are travelling, north or south, narrow the vessels that fit before anything else does.

  2. How many, and together?

The partyA couple, a family needing cabins side by side, or a group that should sail as one. For a group, cabins are held together on one of the five ships.

  3. Company, or quiet?

The clientA ship brings the amenities of a floating hotel and a set rhythm; a dahabiya carries few guests and moors where larger vessels cannot. Honeymooners and small parties often prefer the second; families and groups, the first.

  4. Where does the river join the journey?

Around the sailingEmbarkation in Luxor or Aswan has to meet the flight, the drive or the hotel before it, and the programme after. The vessel is chosen with that sequence, not apart from it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Nile cruise vessels can Triways arrange access to?

Five named Nile cruise ships: Esmeralda, Alma Nile Cruise, Chateau Lafayette Nile Cruise, Nile Treasure Nile Cruise and Alyssa Nile Cruise. Dahabiyas are arranged for smaller parties, with the vessel named in the proposal.

How is a vessel matched to a client's brief?

From four things in the brief: the dates and the direction of sailing, the size of the party, the kind of client (a ship’s amenities and company, or a dahabiya’s quiet), and where the river joins the rest of the journey. The proposal names the vessel and says why it was chosen.

Can Triways arrange a dahabiya rather than a cruise ship?

Yes. A dahabiya suits a couple or a small party who would rather have quiet than company. The 9-day Cairo and Dahabiya sample journey spends four nights aboard, sailing from Luxor to Aswan. The vessel is named in the proposal for the dates.

Can a group sail together on one ship?

Yes. Cabins can be held together for a group on one of the five ships. Whether a larger party can take more of a ship depends on the vessel and the dates; raise it in the brief and we will confirm what is possible. Group logistics are set out at Group Travel Planning.

How is this page different from the Luxury Nile Cruise page?

The Luxury Nile Cruise page describes the journey: the route, the sites and the days on the river. This page sets out the capability behind it: which vessels Triways arranges access to, how one is chosen, and how the sailing is coordinated with the rest of the programme.
