Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Khafre, and Menkaure, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one preserved. Along with the famous Sphinx, it is undoubtedly the most suggestive visit of the trip. Later, visit to the Egyptian Museum of Art, the richest museum of Egyptian antiquities in the world. We suggest a visit to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt where the colossal statue of Ramses III was discovered and where you can admire the alabaster sphinx. Later, optionally, you can visit: the Citadel built by Saladin in the 12th century, the Alabaster Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar of Khan el Khalili. Accommodation.
Breakfast at the hotel and at the agreed time transfer for the flight to Aswan. Arrival at the international airport of the Nubian capital, reception by our staff, practical information, and transfer to the boat. Later, visit the most outstanding places in this beautiful southern city: the famous granite quarry where you will observe the ingenious procedure used by the Egyptians for the extraction of blocks of this material, the unfinished Obelisk of 41 meters, the Old Dam, and the New Dam, monumental engineering works built the first in the 19th century by the British and the second between 1960 and 1971, to control the floods of the banks of the Nile. Finally, you will take a felucca ride, a typical fishing boat, to sail the Nile in a unique way. Dinner and Accommodation.
Full board on board. Bus tour to the Temples of Abu Simbel. They are carved into the cliff of the western desert by Ramses II and feature statues up to 20 meters high. Return to Aswan. Continued to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the particularly strange temple because it is double, dedicated at the same time to the god Haroeris, with a hawk’s head, and to the god Sobek, with a crocodile’s head. Continuation to Edfu. Night on board.
Full board on board. Disembarkation in Edfu where you will take a peculiar private carriage ride to the temple of Horus, the god with the hawk’s head. Return to the boat and continue sailing north through the Esna lock. Arrival in Luxor, visit the Karnak Temple, the largest monument of Pharaonic culture. On the way back to the boat, you will also visit the Luxor Temple, dedicated to Amun-Ra, Mut, and Khonu, built by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Night on board.
Breakfast on board. Visit to the Necropolis of Thebes or the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the XVIII to the XX dynasty were buried. On the way back, you will pass by the Valley of the Queens, where almost 80 tombs contain the remains of queens and princes of royal blood. Visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, unique in the country, as it consists of large terraced terraces. Finally, you will see the Colossi of Memnon, of King Amenophis III, which guard the entrance to his funerary temple. At the agreed time, transfer to Luxor airport and departure to Sharm. Arrival, reception by our staff, and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Stay in Sharm on a half-board basis. Free days, with the possibility of enjoying the beaches surrounding the Red Sea, practicing scuba diving, and taking boat trips to various points of interest in the area or going on desert safaris, by camel or jeep, to a Bedouin village to spend the day in an oasis. You can also dive to explore various points of interest such as cliffs, caves, sand bottoms, sunken ships, amphorae, reefs, and sea cliffs, with depths ranging from 15 to 40 meters. Accommodation.
